I can hardly believe January is coming to a close! It’s been a rather dreary wet month in the Aberdeenshire countryside. We had to manically build flood defenses, which thankfully held. Although those further down the hill were devastated.
It’s been a busy old month in our household, as Christmas got packed away to make room for our ground floor renovations…eek! So we’ve been living in a nook in the undecorated back room and upstairs.
Anyway..linking up with the utterly delightful Emma at Life at the Littlewood and sharing our things we’re loving in January…
Family
As a recent family of 4, we are still very much adapting to each other and figuring each other out.
With MM still being quite young, we tend to hang out at home a lot and explore the countryside around us. Its glorious getting to see the change in the garden, as we’ve had some extreme weather this month.
Home
I’ve been adding bits to the girls rooms, since we are spending so much time upstairs and I’m loving their bedrooms…so full of colour…I promise some full reveals soon!
Fashion
I’m adoring our new pom pom hats. I’m a new convert to hats and I can see more being added to the collection throughout the year.
We all went bonkers for the baubles this year and loving our hats from George at Asda.
Beauty
I’ve been letting the side down (I’m blaming the renovations). There hasn’t been much, if any, beautifying this month. However I have made a promise to myself to keep up a new skincare routine. I’ve always loved Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect range and I’m already feeling the benefits of it.
What have you been up to in January? Share your loves over with Life at the Littlewood.

We all have the lurgy today…you wouldn’t want that! x
Love the hats. I’ve just bought myself one and I have always loved them on my toddler. Love photos of your walks. Can’t wait to see more of your home renovations. We are slowly doing ours too but with baby number 2 on the way (which also meant a long over due new family car) our new bathroom will have to wait. Looking forward to doing the nursery though.
Good luck with the new baby and the house x
