Summer in Scotland has a lot to answer for. The number of clothes I got the girls, from shorts, to little short playsuits…none of which will see the light of day. I can honestly count on one hand the number of hot days we’ve had. So, what do you wear in a traditional Scottish summer….boots of course!
I’m a huge lover of ankle boots, purely because they go with most of my wardrobe! These Kurt Geiger Sally boots are no different. The brown is a perfect match to wear with denim skirts and dresses, with or without tights…although being in Scotland, there’s not much call for bare legs! Munch loves to get in on the action and I love these rather funky fringed sneaker boots from Mini Miss KG, which come with a set of yellow laces as well as white. Again, these will go with most of her wardrobe and so interchangable with the wild weather we get up here. You can expect to see these on Instagram a lot in the coming months, as they are for sure a new firm favourite.
I love that our little boot fetish caters for us in every season and perfect for whatever a Scottish summer can throw at us…sometimes that’s sun, hail and gale force winds all in one day!
Occasionally, it’s a little accidental that we are matching (but not too matching)…she loves nothing more than to match me and I really cherish that she wants to like what I like and wear what I wear. At her recent nursery graduation she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said ‘a mummy’. It’s a real honour, although I’m sure in the future that will all change…but for now I’m taking it all in and enjoying every little moment.
