Time for another Ordinary Moment, linking up with the lovely Katie over at Mummy Daddy Me!

Children’s rides are just great, aren’t they?  They are always perfectly positioned to catch you out when you are in a hurry.  But our ordinary moment isn’t about using them….no it’s about abusing them.

I don’t know about anyone else, but neither me or the husband ever carry cash, so it’s actually rare that Munch gets a ‘proper’ shot on these rides.  Instead, you can see Munch quite happily sitting on/in these rides aimlessly pushing the buttons and smiling whenever that random theme tune kicks in.
I always mean to carry change, but even in the likelihood that I do have money, it’s never the right coins (oh dear).

  1. We do something similar – and on the rare occasion that I do have the right change we find the girls don’t really like it when it is moving! The exception are the trains – all trains are popular around here!

  2. Haha myself and my hubby are the same- we never carry cash! But we go out on a Monday with Grandma and inevitably she does and so we get a go in Thomas the Tank Engine at the Garden Centre- my girls love it! Plus far too many sweets but that’s another matter entirely. 😉 Is that you in the photo? Don’t think I have ever seen a photo of you before- you are gorgeous! x

  3. We haven’t got to this stage yet with Mini but every time we are at the local shopping centre I see kids playing like this 🙂 I don’t think any parent has extra change and if they do it goes on a coffee 😉 to keep them awake xx

  4. Phew, I’m so glad it’s not just me who doesn’t feed these things coins! My little boy couldn’t give two hoots, he loves them anyway. Though I’m just waiting for the day that he cottons on to the fact they turn on and move… So far, we live in blissful ignorance 🙂
