I always knew this year was going to be a tough one. I had no idea what lay ahead. Sure, I had my plan of how I was going to make money but It’s worked out way better than I could’ve possibly imagined. Last week I had a meeting with the guys I’ve been working with and they have increased my hours, for the short term, whilst a new project gets off the ground. Naturally I grasped the opportunity with both hands. It’s not everyday great opportunities come along like this! I am really enjoying working with people who have creative ideas literally flowing through their veins….it’s a bit like working at google (but without the slides!)
I’m not going to lie…it’s taking some getting used to. I’m enjoying being thrust back into a work environment, all be it not the conventional office based kind that I’ve been used to in the past. However, I am taking to my new freelancing freedom pretty well. I get to satisfy a little bit of everything that I yearn to do and that’s pretty amazing…hectic…but amazing.
So, apologies for letting the blogging side slip this past week. It’s been a bit of a learning curve trying to make everything fit into a 24 hour day. Things will get dramatically easier though. MM is due to start nursery for 1 day a week in May, although with this latest increase I feel like I need an extra day…so Sunday may well become Daddy/Daughters day, at least until school starts in August to give me that time to work and blog.
I wouldn’t have it any other way though…I’m really enjoying my new challenge. It’s proof that you never really know what lies ahead and that sometimes life has it’s ways of putting you on a better path than the one you thought was right for you.
