It’s the 1st of the month, which can only mean one thing…it’s time for Bloggers’ Homes!

Bloggers’ Homes is a monthly homes & interiors linky where you can link up any of your home related blog posts that you want to shout about among fellow home enthusiasts.  A winner is selected at random to win a £30 voucher for Rockett St George (yippee!).  Each month we also feature a room tour from another blogger and take a peek behind the scenes and find out what inspired them for their latest project.

This month we have the lovely Jess from Mummy of Boy Girl Twins, who is showing us around her rather amazing home office (wonderful space!)  Jess is one of my favourite bloggers and is also co-host to the weekly interior linky Home Etc (alongside the equally lovely Caro from Twinkle Diaries).  So it’s over to Jess to show us around her office…

I have loved gaining a home office since our house move 12 months ago because I spend quite a lot of time in it. I work in here 3 days a week when the twins are at preschool (on blogging and freelance writing related jobs) so therefore I have dedicated some time and effort into styling it. When we moved into our new-build family home there was a spare room downstairs in order to create an office, so I claimed it as my own!

Having a separate office and space to work has been ideal for me and enabled me to work productively. It also is a space in order to house all the technology, plus I have a lovely, creative space in which to be inspired.

What do you love most about the room?

The desk is built by my Hubby and is from one end of the room to the other, so I can spread out. Plus it can hold all my files and paperwork, and my important iMac! I’ve kept the walls light (white) so I can take photographs in there too.

What would you do differently (if anything)?

I might have ordered some built in storage but the freestanding unit underneath the desk by Wayfair is perfect for my books and papers. I have just ordered a new rug to go in there too as it feels as though it needs more texture.

And lastly…what’s next on your list?

The master bedroom! I have just painted it and it looks fab – not my usual white/modern look at all. Very excited to reveal it!
