Super quick and healthy smoothie recipe packed with banana, strawberries, blueberries and pomegranate for an energy boost in the morning.

Ever since Munch started school I am finding it harder and harder to get started in the morning, and I know it’s because I’m just not eating the right things (unless beige is a food group?!).  As time isn’t a luxury I have, I find that I can go most of the day before I realise I’m surviving solely on coffee…not good!  So it was time to re-evaluate, get some healthy food in me and kick start my energy levels and vitamin intake.

I promise not to turn into a health junkie, but I’ve really noticed a difference in my energy levels already from the smoothies and taking my Swisse Vitamins too. I can’t wait to see the long term results from this little 5 minute healthy smoothie session each morning.

I’ve been doing it for over a week and looking after myself is always bottom of the list, so if I can fit it in…it must be easy!  I’m going to share a few of my favourites with you and my first one has to be my ultimate one, as it is jam packed with fruit that I wouldn’t normally eat.

Banana, Blueberry & Pomegranate Smoothie Recipe

Preparation Time: 2 minutes

Blitz Time: 1 minute


  • 1 banana
  • 250ml coconut milk (or juice)
  • 6-8 strawberries
  • 2 handfuls of blueberries
  • 1 handful of pomegranate seeds
  • Ice optional (or use frozen fruit above)

Erm….place everything in the blender (that’s pretty much it!) and blitz for no longer than a minute. Told you it was easy!

I’d mentioned that I wouldn’t normally eat these fruits (with the exception of banana) because on their own I find them quite tart, but together they work really well and it’s a chance for me to get a good variety of fruit all with different health properties and vitamins into my system, whilst looking pretty alive on the school run!
